LifeStraw Mission uses a highly efficient, non-chemical cleaning method that compresses water through low-pressure fibers at low pressure. Pure water flows through tiny pores in the hollow fiber walls, while bacteria, viruses, protozoa and other contaminants are trapped in the hollow fibers and flushed out by backwashing. LifeStraw Mission is a gravity-based water purifier; It uses a sophisticated ultrafilter membrane with 0.02 micron pores and removes virtually all viruses, bacteria and protozoa. Compact foldable reservoir with large opening, easy to fill with water from a river, a stream or lake.
