Description
TRAMONTANE weighs 120 g, and by packing it in a pocket sewn on the chest (so-called selfpack), it can be compressed to the size of a can of soda. So stored, it can even fit in a trouser pocket. In summer, when it gets colder, it will work as an independent protective layer over a T-shirt, e.g. as a hiking jacket.The low weight of the TRAMONTANE jacket is noticeable when worn - it protects from the wind, and at the same time does not restrict movement, you can even forget that you are wearing it. In colder periods, it will create a great set with a fleece or combat shirt from the Patrol line. The TRAMONTANE jacket is made of very light yet durable WindPack® Nylon. It is a quick-drying, non-absorbent material, additionally covered with DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation, so it will stop light rain or snow. Even if it gets wet, the Tramontane jacket dries very quickly. It is also fastened along its entire length, so it provides good ventilation. On the other hand, the drawstring at the bottom edge of the jacket, elastics on the cuffs and an adjustable hood allow you to keep the warmth inside if needed. Windproof jackets in the Helikon-Tex offer are named after various types of wind. The TRAMONTANE jacket takes its name from the cool north or north-east wind found in the Mediterranean.
